Rosemary's Restaurant, on West Sahara, is one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. Yes, it's sandwiched between a Dollar Tree and a Stein Mart, but the food is out of this world. Chefs Michael and Wendy Jordan have created menus full of rich, fresh flavors that rival those at any high-profile restaurant on the Strip. What? You didn't make plans for Nevada Day? Sure, this state holiday, now observed on the last Friday in October, often catches folks by surprise. But don't let another year go by without checking out the annual open house at Castillo del Sol, Lonnie Hammargren's peerless house of wonders on Sandhill Road.
