Where is this view?

Here’s today’s Vegas Eye mystery location puzzle! This one’s a little trickier than some of the most recent puzzles — the reflection below is your best visual clue.
1. Where is this?
2. Are those living plants?
3. Why would you most likely be standing here? Do you get a sense of a deja vue?
More about the Vegas Eye mystery photo game:

(Please submit high resolution photos. Full-size images straight from your camera are best.)
3) We invite you to subscribe to the Vegas Eye Mystery Photo feature so you’ll have the first shot at solving each week’s puzzle.

awaiting a clue – this is challenging!
Wow, Troy’s not stopped by either — and Patti is stumped… What is the world coming to?
Clue #1: If were you standing in the exact spot of one of the previous Vegas Eye puzzle photos and simply turned around 155 degrees, you’d see this view….

ok – this is a guess, the reflection looks like the Elvis Statue at the Las Vegas Hilton – the plants look real, and they are snake plants aka Mother in Law tongue.
It’s not the Hilton, but it is one of the places you were in instrumental in solving…. And yes those are real plants, and real rocks…. (and the reflection “clue” is pretty hard to see in this photo). And you are correct about the kind of plants — here’s a little more information about them and perhaps even a further clue about this location….
Clue #2: This is located on a Strip property….
I said this one would be a little more challenging…..

I was on board Thursday morning. I just have no idea on this one. Now that I have a clue or two…
Clue #2: This is located on a Strip property….
‘on’ or ‘in’?
perhaps this is near the entrance to the MGM porte cochere, and maybe the reflection is that of a bus.
Patti’s eyes must be stronger than my own… Actually, what the reflection was supposed to depict is the inverted carpet found at the MGM Grand with the lion’s head…. But, the light didn’t really show that very well. Sorry about that.
So, yes this is taken from the exact spot that the MGM porte cochere was taken in this puzzle — but the photographer is turned around and facing the building…
Next week I’ll be back with another view from somewhere in Las Vegas.
Thanks,
VE
Ever have one of those slap your heads “Oh of COURSE!” moments?
Troy,
Do you mean that your actually recognized the location! That’s pretty good, when I showed Michael his photo for this feature — he couldn’t remember where HE took the photo!
VE
Yes. My wife used to work in the lobby of MGM, my friends lived at MGM for 7 months last year and for a few other reasons I have spent a lot of time at MGM.
Well, that would may you a shoe-in for spotting this then!
