A street, is a street, is a street, or is it?

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

This one may be too easy — I was hoping to have some from the environs of the new CityCenter, but that will have to wait until next week. But in the meantime, it’s that holiday shopping time of the year!

Let's see, palm trees, holiday decorations... Where is this?

1. Where is this?
2. What are the names of the stores shown in this photo?
2. What’s the name of this street?
4. When was this property built and opened to the public?
5. What direction is the photographer facing?

Look for tomorrow’s regularly scheduled Vegas Eye — I bet you’ve seen this location a bunch of times….

More about the Vegas Eye mystery photo game:

1) Anyone can play! If you think you know the location of the place or landmark pictured in the mystery photo and can answer the accompanying questions, please post your responses as a comment below. Locations and landmarks are all located within a 35-mile radius of Las Vegas City Hall.

2) We invite you to contribute mystery photos to Vegas Eye and pose your own puzzle questions. If you’d like to contribute, please keep in mind that a good subject for a mystery photo should be unique in some way. There should be subtle but identifiable visual clues in the photo to help players solve the puzzle. Please send photos and puzzle questions to Vegas Eye at this address. (Please submit high resolution photos. Full-size images straight from your camera are best.)

3) We invite you to subscribe to the Vegas Eye Mystery Photo feature so you’ll have the first shot at solving each week’s puzzle.

I can only answer #1 and #4 (I was working there that very cold and windy day) and refuse to go there again until after the second week of January so will not be able to figure out a couple of the other questions. Thus I am gonna pass on this one entirely.
I do love the California Pizza Kitchen though. :)

  2. Vegas Eye says:

Troy, OK, yeah the California Pizza Kitchen is nice — although I like some of the other places a bit more…

There will be one of these geo-puzzles tomorrow too.

Wow! You are good! Yep, the only one missing from #2 is the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. I love that it is based here — Since this isn’t technically part of Las Vegas!

OK, I bet the one I created for tomorrow will be too easy for you too…. But just wait for the 17th…. I might be able to stump both you and Troy for a minute or two….

I have the 17th marked on my calendar. LOL
