Vegas Values: Deep Discounts on Denim

Friday, February 5, 2010

Do you love denim, but hate the high prices at retail stores? Well, you are in for a treat. I have the details on the largest denim sale in the country and it is coming to Las Vegas next week. The Warehouse Sale is an exclusive sample sale offering the latest trends and favorite brands for men and women. Select cities are chosen each year; shoppers come from all over to take advantage of the discounts. Luckily for us, the Palms Casino Resort is hosting the Las Vegas event February 12 and 13, noon – 8pm, in the Key West Ballroom.

Mark your calendar. Get spending money together. The sale is only one week away.

These exclusive sales often require registration for free entry. However, this Las Vegas sale will be a free event open to the public. Furthermore, shoppers with a Palms Casino room key will receive an additional 10% off.

Apparel is advertised below wholesale prices on designer labels such as True Religion, Chip & Pepper, 7 for All Mankind, Ed Hardy, Christian Audigier and many more. I was intrigued and wanted to know more. I was able to get the scoop on the sale from Kenneth Atman, The Warehouse Sale spokesman.

Denim for men and women is heavily advertised, what other types of clothing, if any, will be available for sale?
About 70% of our inventory is denim. The other 30% consist of tops, dresses, accessories and more.

What sizes are available?
We are different than the other sample sales, we do carry a variety of sizes, for women we carry size 23 – 32 or XS – XL and for men we carry size 28 – 42 or S – XXXL.

How much savings could we expect compared to retail prices? Or how much could we expect to spend for a pair of jeans?
Our prices are at least 60% off the retail price, even more with our “buy 4 get 1 free” special, that will bring up the savings at up to 80% off the retail price. Our jeans range from $39.99 – $109.99 and we do carry tops starting at $14.99.

Are there dressing rooms available to try things on?
Yes, we do have a community dressing room. It’s basically one large room for men and a large room for women. Since all brands fit differently, we suggest trying on as many pairs as you can.

Are credit cards accepted?
Yes, we accept all major credit cards and cash, no checks please.

Atman, added, “we receive our merchandise directly from the manufacturer, so we guarantee authenticity, and we take pride in only selling authentic merchandise”.

Happy shoppers!

I was also interested in how cities are chosen for the sale. It turns out they scope out major cities and often those with large universities are selected to attract students and young professionals. Occasionally, new cities are added to host sales, but usually they tend to return to proven fashionable cities. If you can’t make it to the Las Vegas sale next weekend, you might be able to catch the sale in another city such as Orange County, CA, Boston or Chicago. Check The Warehouse Sale’s event schedule for a complete listing.

Planning on taking advantage of these bargains? Here are a couple tips to make the experience a bit easier: know your waist size, and wear clothing that’s easy to get in and out of so you can try on items quickly.

Gather your friends and shop the sale next Friday or Saturday!
