1- Where is this?
2- What’s the address of this location? (tricky answer)

Is an old water resevoir or something? Looks like there’s quite a drop off on the other side.
John,
It’s neither a reservoir, nor is it very old, but water does play a role in it’s purpose.

wow – I am drawing a complete blank – dang!
Cool! I almost never get to stump you two weeks in a row!
Clue? Hmmm, there are lots and lots of new cars near this location….
Clue #2: There are some related information found in the puzzle from the 28th of January, 2010
And if going back to last week’s puzzle, if you were to combine the guesses of Patti and Troy… you would be looking at a what?
VE
Clue #3: There’s a highway bridge that is located adjacent to this mystery location and the bridge was dedicated and opened in 2005,,,,
VE
still stumped – this building is probably along Boulder Highway at Sahara, as there are car dealerships near there, and 93 is close by as well. But I could be wrong.
It’s not a either Sahara or Boulder Highway, but the bridge crossing mentioned on the 27th (above) is located at the corner of xxxxxx and US-95/US-93….
…And it’s not technically a building…. but it is similar to something you looked at in past VE puzzles.
VE
1- Where is this? Between US-95/US-93 and Eastgate Road and William Heinrich.
2- What’s the address of this location? (tricky answer) 7777 Eastgate Road
Henderson, NV, 89011-4039 is the address for the school.
3- What’s the name of the business that is located directly behind where the
photographer was standing? It looks like University of Phoenix / Henderson Learning Center.
4- When was it built? Who was the builder? hhmmmm! good question.
Patti,
Excellent, excellent work once again…You’ve done all of the hard sleuthing work!
OK, now all you’ve got to do is to…. look at the satellite image and figure out what you you’re looking at. This is VERY similar to another puzzle you solved.
VE
I would call it a storm water run off retention area.
But who built it? Around here they are called the Corps of Engineers, in Nevada, I think they are called the Regional Flood Control District, or maybe the Stormwater Quality Management Committee. When it was built I’m not yet sure.
Yes, that’s basically what they’re called here too. The photo is actually showing the over-flow (spill-way like) structure. If water ever actually reaches a level where water is cascading down those huge steps, it’s time to get the heck out of there!
If you look at the satellite image, you can see that there is a channel that directs the water into a storm drain on the left hand side of the deepest part — long before it could even reach the first step. I can’t even imagine a scenario when this could full enough of water to reach those spillway steps. As to when built… I’m not crystal positive — but I think it was as recently as 2005 — I’d have to drive back over there and find the dedication monument…It actually has a name…. can you find that — ole ye master sleuth?
