Nickel Beer Tuesdays at Todd English P.U.B can't be beat!

Homer Simpson isn’t the only one who loves a tasty beer. I certainly do, as do hundreds of others that flock to Sin City to imbibe free cocktails and take advantage of no last call. It’s not until I leave Las Vegas that I remember how spoiled I’ve become. On a recent vacation to Vancouver our best value for beer was $18 bucks spent on a 6-pack. Then, in Seattle, bars closed down at one o’clock unless you’re able convince them to stay open until the 2am closing time enforced by local law (like we did). Here, in Vegas, it’s comforting to know last call isn’t lurking and beers are comped for gamblers. However, there are also a number of bargains out there when you’re not making wagers. These deals can even be found at the microbrews and bars with wide selections such as Yard House and Freakin’ Frog.

The best bargain going right now can be had Tuesday nights at Todd English P.U.B. inside the Crystals at CityCenter. Tuesdays beginning at 9pm Pabst Blue Ribbon 8 oz drafts are sold for a nickel until the kegs run dry, which is usually before 11pm. Get there early to avoid the line and secure a spot at the bar. The nickel beers are inclusive of all taxes; a quarter will net you five drinks. Just be sure to take care of the bartenders.

Along similar lines, Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood offers $1 Beer Mondays. A variety of draft beers are just a buck 9pm-11pm.

If you’re seeking a cheap beer without restrictions Hooters, O’Sheas and Casino Royale have you covered. Casino bars at Hooters sell bottles of Bud and Bud Light for $1.50 all day, every day. O’Sheas offers $2 domestic drafts 24/7. Lastly, Casino Royale has Michelob selections for a buck and draft beer for 75¢ around the clock.

Not on the strip, but hanging out downtown instead? Not to worry. Fitzgerald’s has Bud drafts for a buck at the Vue Bar. I’ve also spotted 75¢ Coors drafts outside Las Vegas Rocks Café at Neonopolis. Hennessey’s Tavern happy hour is Monday-Friday 4-7pm, Bud Light and Hennessey’s Irish Amber are sold for $2.50. Also nearby, Mickie Finnz has the same happy hour times but they offer $2.50 house draft beers.

If you are looking for a place more laid back, check out M Resort. They have two deals running 4pm-7pm Sunday-Thursday. The first is at the Lobby Bar; here you’ll find 12 oz domestics for a buck or head over to the 32 Degree Draft Bar for dollar domestics. If you’d rather stay close to home PT’s Pubs are another great choice. They have two happy hours daily 3-7pm and midnight-4am, all drinks are half price.

As I mentioned before deals can be had on microbrews, as well. Stop in Ellis Island, their brews are always $1.50. Tenaya Creek Brewery has $3 pints during their happy hours Monday-Friday 4-7pm and 10pm-close.

Freakin’ Frog has over 900 assorted bottled beers and more than a dozen rotating on tap. You are sure to find one you’ll enjoy, take advantage of buy one, get one, beers 3pm-7pm. Looking for a wider selection of drafts? Yard House is the place. They feature more than 150 draft beers. They too have a double happy hour, the first is Monday-Friday 3pm-6pm and the second is Sunday-Wednesday 10pm-close. Both offer pints from $3.50-$4.50.

With all these deals you are bound to find one that will quench your thirst. Take pleasure in knowing there is no rush, there is no last call. Cheers!
