John Robert Taylor moved to Las Vegas after transferring to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department from Urbana, Illinois. In February, 2009 John received his Detective shield. A self-proclaimed cigar enthusiast, John likes to read non-fiction books and short stories. He is also a member of the Public Safety Writer's Association and currently writing a how-to book on the subject of violent crime prevention. A native of Chicago, he has been in Las Vegas for four years.
