Spring lasted about week this year in the Las Vegas valley and fortunately, during that week I had occasion to have brunch at one of the restaurants located in the west end of The District at Green Valley. The District is the shopping area one can enter by simply going out the back door of the Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino in Henderson, Nevada.
I’m not quite sure how Covid had affected the offerings at The District, but I noticed during the recent brunch day that stores and restaurants were open. I also commented to a friend how perfectly pleasant the street’s surroundings were. I vowed to come back for a longer video tour. The week or so later when I returned, incidentally, summer had arrived, and the temperature was in the mild 80s.
The District was originally owned and developed by the American Nevada Corporation, a subsidiary of The Greenspun Corporation. At some point the management for the mixed use development shifted to
Vestar Properties, which has invested a great deal of money in the area and from what I could see the money was well spent. “Most” of the retail spaces seem to be up and running.
The District at Green Valley Ranch includes offices, housing and retail store space. Parking is free and the area is filled with lots of comfortable seating.
