For folks who are regular viewers of HGTV and their home remodeling shows (I am one), the Surfaces Trade Show would be a must see if the show weren’t for industry insiders. At this show, floor and counter surface coverings of all types are on display and the views are intriguing.

Surfaces 2021 was held June 16-18 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The show has been around since 1987, but this year was delayed a couple months due to Covid. Who attends this show? Buyers, specifiers and influencers in design and construction businesses. They come to see products and learn, attending one of numerous educational sessions. Those educational sessions were available online as well.

I attended Surfaces as a press representative with video in hand. This show is the largest North American floor covering, stone and tile industry event, and on the first day of the show, the crowds did come. Nonetheless, I was able to talk with several of the exhibitors, and again I was an eager student. Hope you enjoy the accompanying video.
