Designing for Customers: HD Expo & Conference

For high-end customers, art pieces made of glass were among the August 24-25 expo offerings at the HD Expo & Conference.

Last week was a hospitality week on two fronts. Mandalay Bay Convention Center hosted Emerald Exposition’s HD (Hospitality Design) Expo & Conference. The event is a showcase of the latest designs and ideas for creating outstanding customer environments for hotels, restaurants, casinos, senior living sites, cruise lines and much more. Attendees at the show also had an opportunity to mix and mingle in a raft of educational offerings as well as several special events.

Of course, I attended the expo portion of the gathering with video camera in hand. This time, I simply shoved a cloth mask down to my neck when talking to the camera and that worked. I spent a little over two hours at the show and loved every minute.

Incidentally, the Emerald Expositions folks have a sense of humor. This is what they wrote in describing the show and who would be attending:

“Cross pollinating our industry like none other: Owners, Operators, Designers, Architects, Purchasers, Specifiers, Developers, Financiers, Wellness Gurus, Vendors, Suppliers, Manufacturers, Reps, Experts, Icons, Mavens, Go-getters, Lifelong Learners, Fire-brands, Renegades, Rulebreakers and Rick-takers.
