My friend Gerri and I were at the Wynn Las Vegas and decided to investigate the Wynn Plaza shops. The Wynn Plaza Shops officially opened in October 2018 and their 29 stores occupy two floors totaling 7,000 square feet. Products come from throughout the world; customers are serenaded with recorded music while shopping and serious shoppers are most likely to have rather large bank accounts.
I looked at a small beautifully decorated sweatshirt in one shop and was told the price was $1100. (I dared not ask how much the same sweatshirt would be in extra large.)
The plaza area also includes two sets of escalators, at least one elevator, a beautifully appointed ladies rest room (a men’s room is available as well) and three separate entrances in addition to the entrance from the casino level self-parking area.
A couple days after our initial visit, I returned to the Wynn Plaza Shops with a camera. I had a few questions, too, and found the sales folks in the stores quite friendly and not intimidating at all. Of course, that could have been because the sales people were lonely for conversation due to what they said was a lull in business sure to turn around the week right before Christmas.
Below are some of the photos I took of Wynn Plaza Shops.
This is the Wynn Plaza Shops entry area after turning right from the self-parking area into Wynn Las Vegas. This entrance area sets the tone for high-end shopping. Photo by Diane TaylorHow fancy are the Wynn Plaza Shops? You can shop by appointment, so says the sign at Italian clothing manufacturer Kiton. Kiton will actually come to a customer’s home for a made-to-measure fitting.(Lottery winners; here’s your store!) Photo by Diane TaylorAnother way to shop, but only at the Plaza’s Wynn at Home store, is to use “comp” dollars earned for gambling at Wynn or Encore. I heard that for the biggest gamblers, “whales”, comp dollars in the tens of thousands of dollars can be available to spend. Photo by Diane TaylorDon’t think you, as a customer, can just walk in to a Plaza Shops store. Some have armed security. Some have locked doors. Some work with only one customer at a time and other customers just wait outside. Photo by Diane TaylorThe Celine store actually had a rope barrier and a sign explaining that the number of customers must be limited due to social distancing, etc. Photo by Diane TaylorLike the orange dress in the Zimmermann window? It’s actually two pieces: the top is $595 and the skirt is $1350. The fabric is crocheted raffia — very delicate. Can’t iron it or wash it — but chances are, if you wear it you won’t see another like it ever.. Photo by Diane TaylorSoulCycle’s indoor cycling and spinning workout classes along with a retail store occupy a large space in the Plaza Stores. Photo by Diane TaylorA popular dining spot on the Wynn Plaza Shops second level is the Urth Cafe which had these words under the cafe name: “People” “Planet” “Pleasure”. Urth says it features “world class traditional teas and organic herbal blends”. Photo by Diane TaylorThe most colorful store among the Plaza Shops is Aviator Nation, a California lifestyle company (aviator sun glasses, I was told, are worn by surfers). Don’t know how may surfers are in Las Vegas, but… Photo by Diane TaylorWhen clothes on hangers are not crowded, one can assume designer prices are on the tags. Two of the Plaza Shops feature perfume. These solid perfume cakes sell for $50 each. Photo by Diane Taylor.

Thank you for the tour! I guess I’d at least have some tea at Urth…then enjoy the beauty of such expensive items. So far the stores are not charging for looking. Perhaps next time I’m in town I’ll drop by…maybe before gambling… 🙂
Love your articles and this one was terrific! The Wynn never disappoints. I hope you will dine at Delilah’s there, that too is a true viva Las Vegas experience complete with showgirls!
