Happy Holidays from the Bellagio

The big tree in the Bellagio Conservatoryand Botanical Gardens is another popular photo subject. The 12-foot-tall white fir is from Mt. Shasta, California and features 10,000 energy-efficient lights and 8700 ornaments. Wow!

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone. The holiday spirit is everywhere in Las Vegas. Local singers have all had holiday shows, and for those with a visual bent, nothing can beat the casino holiday displays especially at the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

Steve Wynn was so right. Build something that folks want to see and they will do the advertising for you. During this year’s Bellagio visit, I’ve seen more cameras than ever. Family members take photos of other family members; selfies even of big groups are common and strangers eagerly volunteer to take photos of other strangers. So many folks were visiting the Conservatory on the Tuesday morning before Christmas that I had trouble taking photos without inadvertently photographing some visitor passing through.

Bellagio’s Conservatory and Botanical Gardens opened in 1998 and their holiday display (which ends New Year’s Day) has become probably the most popular holiday destination in town. For those very few people who “missed” a visit to the Bellagio this holiday, I submit the following 2022/2023 photos:

The largest building in the Conservatory is a perfect setting for photos.

And another bear, complete with smile and scarf. Coca-Cola makes a number of appearances at the display.
