On December 1, 2023 we attended the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame event at the University of Nevada Reno to celebrate this year’s inductees. Susan Palwick was inducted into the Hall of Fame and Megan Edwards was awarded the 2023 Silver Pen award.
The Nevada Writers Hall of Fame was established in 1988 and honors those writers who have a strong connection to Nevada and have received critical recognition for their work.
A number of inductees and Silver Pen holders were in the audience at the beautiful Wells Fargo Auditorium on the UNR campus. The event was hosted by Catherine Cardwell, the Dean of the University Libraries.

Her other books include the travel memoir Roads from the Ashes: An Odyssey in Real Life on the Virtual Frontier, the award-winning Copper Black mystery novels Getting off on Frank Sinatra and Full Service Blonde, and the award-winning novel Strings: A Love Story. Edwards holds a B.A. in classics from Scripps College and an M.A. from Claremont Graduate University. She is also the founder and editor of Living-Las-Vegas.com
