Gambling, we all know, is typically a losing proposition, but in Las Vegas, gambling does produce perks. Using a gambling card in a casino earns “free play.” Points earned when using a gambling card can also preset in an accumulation of comp dollars that can be be redeemed at that casino for food, beverages or–items from the casino gift shop.
One casino gift shop is the focus of today’s article. I typically gamble at Tuscany Suites & Casino. I have been in Las Vegas 20 years, and I have several hundred dollars in earned comp dollars at the Tuscany. Christmas is coming and the Tuscany’s gift shop is ready for me or anyone else with comp dollars (or real dollars) to spend.
Yes, you can purchase aspirin, lip gloss and candy bars in the gift shop, but the upcoming holidays mean larger gifts are currently on the shelves; holiday music is playing, and lights sparkle.
I took a few photos of items that are offered in Tuscany’s one relatively small gift shop. I’ve listed the prices in dollars and cents, but those prices can be paid in comp dollars, which means, of course, that the gambler’s comp dollars diminish, but the holiday gift list is complete.
Happy Holidays!
Note: In the New Year, some of the unsold items are on sale at a discount!
I love the story. You hit the nail right on the head. I’ve lived here just short of twenty years and do
the same with the points I accrue. Thanks!
Gift shops are great places for unique gifts. Thanks for sharing.
