The House With a Lady Who Decorates….

Of course the welcome mat had a poinsettia theme.

Last week I was invited to a holiday dinner party at a home in Las Vegas. The dinner party was wonderful and I saw many friends there. But what really attracted my attention were the many artful decorations placed in the three large front rooms and the foyer of the home. Christine, the evening’s hostess, admits to having an artist’s sensibility and loves both entertaining and decorating for guests. Her themes this year were trees and peace. I was almost embarrassed to return to my own home, its one tree, my collection of holiday cards and a couple holiday statues. But I loved seeing a home “done up right” by the homeowner. All the photographs below were taken in the three rooms and the entrance lobby to this beautiful home:

Although the doors were open for guests, this is the doorbell decoration.

One of the themes of this year’s decorations were trees and there were plenty of them in the decorations.

  1. Thank you for the lovely photos of Christmas decorations. So glad to see that most people still celebrate the holiday season with beautiful decorations. Seeing them bring joy and delight to the heart. My family and I drive around the neighborhood to watch decorated homes and feel happy to see that families go out of their way to show how they appreciate Christmas. There’s still hope it seems for genuine celebration of the season. Let’s all celebrate the coming end of the year and welcome the new year with renewed optimism for better days ahead. Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to all!
