Joining the Throngs at World of Concrete

This is part of the crowd attending the World of Concrete, the annual trade show for the commercial construction industry.

I don’t know why but last Wednesday I screwed up my courage and decided to go to a huge trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. I decided if getting there was too difficult, I would just go and gamble.

But, to my surprise, when I entered the West Parking Lot, I was directed to a convenient parking space. I walked not far to “catch” my Tesla car that would take me (at no cost) to the Central Hall area. No crowd for the cars; a smooth ride (with a driver) and suddenly I was at the World of Concrete 2025. I had registered for the show just the day before and didn’t get a return email that my reservation had been accepted, but in the South Hall as I entered a line, a lady asked my name and birth date, looked me up on her hand-held phone and said I was duly registered and directed me to a counter where my badge awaited. How smooth!

The rest of my visit is seen on the attached video. There is something about the World of Concrete that I have always liked, even though if you asked me to make anything out of concrete I would be stumped. The weather was lovely and I quite enjoyed everything that happened last Wednesday.

  1. Ronald, the video is not attached. It is imbedded in the page. Are you not able to see it?

  2. Mark,

It is there now and I can see it. I e-mailed Diane and she said that she fixed it. Now good to go. Thanks.

  3. From volts and jolts to mud and mixers…You’ve still got it, baby! Happy birthday, Diane!
